Students across Europe and Eurasia were surveyed about their hopes and fears as well as the questions that they would ask God. Their responses parallel common responses in America. These top questions, hopes, and fears became the basis for an interactive DVD small group tool called Glad You Asked.
Produced by Innovista, a UK based ministry, Glad You Asked is a small group discussion that combines experts and everyday student experiences in a facilitated discussion. The DVD features leading experts in various fields discussing the topics:
Does God Matter? How can God allow pain? Don't all religions lead to God? Can the Bible be trusted? Why is religion full of hypocrites? What was Jesus really like?
4 sessions explore biblical passages, which contain issues raised by questions Jesus asked (e.g. Why do you call me good?) and lead to a discussion of the gospel.
Glad You Asked creates a safe space for exploration and an experience of community. Each session starts by relating the topic to their everyday experience. Throughout the DVD reflection & reaction questions appear on the screen that the group then pauses the DVD to discuss.
